How To Build A Duck Blind

Once you have picked that perfect spot where the ducks want to be, making sure that you are hidden is key to your chances at bagging birds.  In order to do this well, a bit of attention to detail is required.   Your duck blind can be as intricate as you would like, but usually you don't need to be so involved.   All that is normally needed is some elbow grease and a little bit of cover.  I normally use burlap material, but Avery Fast Grass can be used also.  The Fast Grass is more realistic, but bulkier and harder to transport.  Depending upon where you are hunting this can be a big minus.  Just remember that the keys to the blind are to hide the hunter(s), but also to allow for a quality shooting lane for when the ducks come into your duck decoys

As the below video shows, by using material that is native to the area you are hunting and a little bit of burlap material you can conceal yourself to a great degree from the eyes of the oncoming ducks.
