Both calls are double reed, so you will get similar performance in that regard.  To me it comes down to the raspy, &quot;ducky&quot; sound.  The Zink XR-2 has a very raspy sound, while to me the Foiles Strait Meat Mallard double reed is higher pitched.  I have heard that you can cut the reeds to make them raspier, but as a general rule I try to avoid too much cutting of the reeds.</description>
